I appreciate your interest in finding a skilled therapist who can really help you. However, since you mentioned that you seek one who you "cannot outsmart" --this might mean you need someone more deeply skilled than the average (empathetic and wonderful) MFT.
There are several ways to obtain referrals, but in my opinion seeking them on WACCO from folks who don't know you and your issues offers the least potential.
It sounds like you have received information already about what your issues--physical or mental health--already are and may have some ways to follow up on your own. I will also reply to you privately in case you want to discuss your options--not as a therapist or someone eager to send you to one, but as someone informed about the challenges and pitfalls.,
