thanks for posting this! for everyone who has been following what is happening at Standing Rock, and has been wanting to support the movement, but can't go to Standing Rock now, come join this nationwide day of action on Tuesday (also, Mon. 13th is nationwide day of letter writing and phone calling, so if you can't go to an action on Tuesday, consider making your voice heard on Mon. and thereafter)

There's a gathering in support of the folks at Standing Rock planned for Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. in front of CitiBank (one bank funding the pipeline), at 290 B St in in Santa Rosa.

EDIT: According to this post (https://www.waccobb.net/forums/showthread.php?119641-Stand-Up-for-Standing-Rock-by-Donating&p=208202#post208202), It seems that the protest above has been abandoned and the plan it so merge it with the San Rafael protest. ~Barry :waccosun:

Barry:

I read the announcement you referred us to, and (unless I missed it, in which case correct me) it says nothing at all about the Santa Rosa protest! It is all about doing the San Francisco one in San Rafael. Please print a retraction, since as it is, you're discouraging people from attending the Santa Rosa protest.

I did not see abandonment of the Santa Rosa protest in that post. It's a 'both and' as far as I can see. And, isn't part of the idea to drive less??

Seems I may have misinterpreted the post that led me to believe the santa rosa protest wasn't happening. So nevermind. I'll be at the one in San Rafael!

From what I can tell, the Santa Rosa event is still happening but the San Rafael event is the main focus:

I've started a page on the 350sonoma.org (https://350sonoma.org) web site with info & links about at least three actions happening in Santa Rosa tomorrow, as well as the San Rafael and San Francisco actions happening tomorrow, Nov. 15.

There's also a link to a Facebook page where there is some discussion of carpooling to SF.

I will try to update this new page until about noon tomorrow and possibly until late afternoon if I get any more updates on the above.

P.S. [email protected] is now the general contact address for the Solidarity with Standing Rock group in Sonoma County. It's a good address to email to request to join our mailing lists. Click here for info about our 3 mailing lists (https://www.350sonoma.org/about_solidarity_with_standing_rock). It will work with or without the first dot in the email address.
