Residents of Healdsburg will be voting on November 8th on ballot question T, which if approved with a “Yes” vote, will require the city council to suspend fluoridation if the manufacturer supplying the fluoridation chemicals cannot provide an accurate list of contaminants in each batch, toxicological data on the additive, and a written statement verifying the chemical’s safety for ingestion by all water consumers, once introduced into the water supply.

The water board has already contacted the fluoride chemical provider and found that they would not provide the proper testing, the necessary paperwork confirming safety, or even vouch for their product’s safety for all water users. This is unacceptable! With your help we can end the use of untested, unnecessary and unsafe fluoride additives.

If successful, this could set a precedent that could lead to the end of fluoridation for millions of residents throughout California. But we need your help. Clean Water Sonoma-Marin (https://org.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=TbFCEq4YjnbAt3S4u6yyOFeQNHRBRxaV) is looking for volunteers to help distribute literature, stand with signs at the polls on election day, and to participate in their phone bank (from anywhere in California). Please contact Clean Water Sonoma-Marin (https://org.salsalabs.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=MIIqlyUtFkR0i9TkLXTuwFeQNHRBRxaV) to learn how you can help pass this precedent-setting measure.

Remember back in 2013-14 when someone got the bright idea to add fluoride to the water supplied by SCWA, and ended up wasting over a million dollars of the county's money trying to convince us that it is "safe and effective"?

One of the people behind that debacle is 3rd District Supervisor Shirlee Zane. She and 5th District candidate Noreen Evans have been "dear friends" (Zane's term) for quite some time. While candidates cannot choose their independent expenditure committees, they can choose their friends.

Having both of these women on the Board of Supervisors would be (as Bernie Sanders would put it) DISASTROUS. Please keep this in mind when you are filling out your ballot.
