New methods for copy-write and patents are needed at the local level. Production and name value is the strongest hold on intellectual property.for this new age of invention.
Why in such an imaginative area as Sonoma County is there no new method for securing intellectual property and producing locally?
Buy your new item from the profit mongers or buy from someone heavily investing in community?

The incentive to develop something is there, just imagine how many ideas you have already that are kept under wraps for fear of someone just taking the thought and running with it if exposed to the wrong party, and then to sit on it too long and see it spontaneously arise in someone else's mind and you lose it.
With something like this https://www.chimeraarts.org/ it seems a natural part of its evolution to provide this protection and assistance and with more minds working on it time will tell.
a thought, as if there was a million dollars to work with in attempting something it could go like this.
Right now writing here. This is being posted in a new category called called "Save the World" it has legal backing so posting in it is as if your thoughts are being legally documented in time, your active in its development and willing to contribute additional membership dues to post in this category. There could be a sub category of a wish list people would post ideas in that were just something they would like to see but are not the original holders or intend to own a thought.
1. Establish a name as umbrella. I'll use a favorite as a for instance: A.F.T.E.R.

So, have you an enlightened response you would like to see developed and will be its motive force? Would like to benefit from it and share profits to growing?
2. a legal service is established to register an individual's idea. the intent is to find low tech but innovative ideas people would want, to start. Scale an approach where as profit developed more technically challenging ideas could be handled
3. have the community investment be so unique and creative it would need no advertisement to become a lovely thing so people would buy from you instead of another.
