Hello everyone,
37164UPDATE to my post two months ago. The more I've gotten to know "Yuki", the more I KNOW with all my heart that she will adjust beautifully to a home as a single cat. I visit and pet her almost every day.
IDEA: Give Yuki a trial adoption...
I'm attempting to help "Yuki" find a peaceful home environment. Currently, she is up for adoption at the Rohnert Park PetSmart. She has been there for 5 months and doing better. Because she does not get along with other cats and is experiencing a certain amount of "cage stress", this makes her very shy = not as adoptable to public eyes. Cage stress is a phenomenon when cats are not taking well to their caged environment after short or longer periods of time (can you blame her)?
What Yuki really needs is one or two adult persons who know, love and have the experience of earning trust from a cat who simply needs her space and own speed to become adjusted to her humans and new home environment (without others cats or dogs). Yuki wants love through a human who is not initially in for a lap-cat, or a quick result, but someone who will let HER go at her own pace. Yuki is friendly, and only unhappy because of her stint living in a cage with new and unfamiliar cats coming in and out of the PetSmart shelter on a regular basis.
Are you a patient animal lover who enjoys the challenge of earning trust? And really, if for some reason you're not convinced Yuki's a gem, then PetSmart (actually) has a "return policy". But she's a keeper!!!
Please contact me with your inquiries and I'll be happy to answer or even meet you at PetSmart to make an introduction to Yuki in person. At present Yuki is in with 15 cats! This has been hard on her over the past five days.
Best to call rather than email, but happy to get your reply either way. 707-888-7046 as late as 11 PM.
Good day! Jennifer :-)
