Massacre in San Juan Chamula

The mayor of San Juan Chamula municipality and 4 others (according to the government and the paid press) died in a shootout at the government palace, allegedly in a dispute over money that the municipio owed to some local residents. Many more were injured and it’s possible that more people died as a result of the shootout. This article is based on an eyewitness account of the tragic events.
