It is simply unbelievable how much out-of-district money is being poured into the Fifth District race for Lynda and Noreen (neither of whom have ever voted in the district...sorry, sorry, sorry).

So far Noreen has raised $219,483 including SEIU PAC money of $65,400 (apologies to Lisa Maldonado for saying this isn't a contribution ).

So far Lynda has raised $190,135 including PAC money (for some reason SEIU PAC doesn't file in Sonoma County, but a mysterious law firm in Sacramento e-mails all the candidates SEIU info).

What is really amazing is Noreen and the SEIU PAC have spent $206,000 with $13,000 remaining and Lynda has spent $103,000 with $87,000 remaining.

Noreen and the SEIU PAC have outspent Lynda 2 to 1---$206,000 to $103,000 +/-.!!!!

Wishing all my fellow WaccoBB members a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!!

With regard to 5th District Supervisor, most of Lynda Hopkins's funding come from the 4th district. She has lived in the 5th district for less than a year.

Business in the 4th district are making a play to buy an extra vote for themselves on the Board of Supervisor in the 5th district, by funding Hopkins. The deluge of expensive mailers, her personal newspaper, endorsements by the usual county power brokers, and signs on every big winery demonstrate how much money she has taken and how desperately those businesses want their pawn in office.

Syar Gravel Mining did not give her $15,000.00 for nothing.

Her campaign and the $138,000.00 she has taken from 4th district business interests is a truly cynical ploy, and it insults our intelligence.
