.. sometimes I'm kind of shocked by what a tin ear people seem to have. This seems straight out of The Onion. Instead, I think the author thinks he's really on to something real.
But then I realize, this is what reminds us what a bubble we have here. I'm sure to many in the country, this seems cheerful and innocuous. Maybe to several people here too?
