Advisory: High Risk Sex Offender Placed in Rohnert Park

The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety was just notified that high-risk sex offender Jonathan Michael Hoppner was placed in a motel in Rohnert Park today after being released on parole. Hoppner is a 23-year-old white male, 6 feet tall, 240 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. A photo of Hoppner is below. Hoppner has multiple convictions for sexual battery on females, and is considered a high risk to re-offend. Hoppner's conviction requires registration with the local police agency within the city or county where he resides. He has served the prison sentence imposed by the courts, and the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety has no legal authority to dictate where this subject lives. This information is being released pursuant to Megan's Law, Penal Code Section 290, as information only for the safety of the public due to the high risk posed by Hoppner being in our community.
