we have a cat who was vomiting, not eating and was nauseous
he spent many days at the vet, which included stomach surgery at her urging
his stomach was found to be healthy and the exit valve not blocked as she suspected.
he is home now, occasional vomiting, not able to eat, is being bottle fed chicken broth and soft protein
it is not clear whether he is able to defecate, as this has not been witnessed

my concern is that he not be fed what he cannot eliminate
i am not the owner, yet have been in close collaboration with facilitating his veterinary care

my sense is kinesiology may be able to find the cause of the problem
as the vet was mystified as to what was creating the difficulties

wondering if there is a kinesiologist who works with animals or is willing to

if so, pl be in touch, much appreciated, yamah

I'm a CAT ADVOCATE, and I'm wondering about what the cat was eating prior to the vomiting, etc. I always look to what a cat has ingested. There have been so many health issues with cats and dogs on commercial pet foods. I've been continuing to study and research this.

I've discovered that we really can't rely on an vet to give us answers, no more than we can with medical doctors. I've had experience with a vet who "thought" my cat might have a urinary infection, although she had no symptoms and wasn't tested. The vet gave her the anti-biotic Baytril, which has caused blindness in some cats. I had taken her in with a "constipation" issue, and the recommended stool softener helped with that, but the anti-biotic was totally unnecessary. They also tried to push Hill's prescription diet, even when I said I didn't want it. I stopped taking her there, and started my in depth research.

You're right to be concerned about elimination, but if the stool softener or laxatives aren't working, then it means enemas. But that doesn't get to the root of the problem. Hopefully someone can help with this, because I would think time would be of the essence.
