I think the people who support Sanders understand that this is not a "horse race". It is less important that Sanders win the nomination than it is that his messages be widely heard, that the people for whom they are meant understand that he is talking directly to them and, at the very least, showing that there is a way forward if we're willing to take it and not settle for "crumbs". Already, Sanders' messages have brought about a change in Clinton's messages. The longer he continues his campaign the more this will be the case. So I say, keep on keepin' on, Senator Sanders. You, and we, have nothing to lose.

I'm reading his book "Outsider in the White House" which he sent free by snail mail to anyone who wanted it, several months ago. His practical and potent messages throughout the book give me chills of joy to know that there is someone up there who thinks and feels with us. HOPE can change our chemistry in a powerful way. Many of us can relate to feeling hopeless, and the effect that has. I've felt that way many times, so I'm thankful for the wisdom and compassion that's returning hope where there was none. Let's feel the difference in our hearts and minds!

I watched a good part of the Democrat debate tonight. I was impressed by Sanders unwillingness to accept incremental change at this point. He put it in terms of repairing the infrastructure of the US. The need and the cost is so high that it will take a major effort by a united country to successfully deal with it. And this over quite a few years. The same is true of dealing with climate change except that involves the entire world to, perhaps, prevent our home from becoming uninhabitable. So I'm continuing to support the Senator, not because Secretary Clinton is bad or evil or anything else that is being blabbed about her, but because it's time to go for it. Incrementalism will no longer work.
