While visiting Bali I found a very hungry abandoned puppy.
He was dirty and mangy. I dont know how he's survived as long as
he has. I want to adopt him and transport him back here.
Has anybody done this?
He is at Barc Rescue in Ubud.
Please see their website and donate if you can.
They do amazing work.

Here is some information: https://www.cdc.gov/importation/bringing-an-animal-into-the-united-states/dogs.html
I would contact the CDC.
Good luck! It's a cute dog.

Hi Ladybug,
I just came back from doing my outreach program in Bali....https://www.facebook.com/Amysvillages/?ref=hlI
with animals there, alongside the children.
It is illegal to take a dog out of Indonesia. Period. Bali Animal Welfare Agency (BAWA) is especially proactive with trying to change the laws, but so far to no avail. I know ridiculous.
Sorry! What you witnessed sadly is rampant, by the thousands. It's best for people to donate to BARC or BAWA (or when I was there, my program) so they can continue to educate and provide veterinary care. You have a big compassionate heart, and I know from personal experience there, it is heartbreaking.
