Blue Buffalo Company, Ltd. is voluntarily recalling a limited production of Blue Kitty Yums Chicken Recipe Cat Treats that may contain low levels of propylene glycol, which is not permitted by the FDA for use in cat food.

Yes, this is not the first time, and it causes suspicion about potential future recalls.


This is not the first time Blue Buffalo has had to recall some of their product, am I right?

TruthAboutPetFood.com is one of several. I don't have a list available, but a Google search for "pet recall sites" should produce more of them. Having a subscription means that you'll get the information via email, and as far as I know the subscriptions are free. PetFoodRecall.org is another one. Also, Petful.com allows you to look up the brand you're using to see about past recalls.


Sufficient that I won't be purchasing any of their product. What do you recommend for guardians of companion animals to keep up with these recalls? :hmmm:
