Hi, I'm a youthful, attractive, gentle, intelligent (not trying to be egotistical, but I do have something to offer) 65 yo woman with MCS (diagnosed multiple chemical sensitivities).
Finding people to socialize with, has become increasingly difficult. Quite innocently, most people think "just a little bit" of scented, even in so called "natural" hair and body products, laundry and cleaning products, etc is not harmful, but for those of us with MCS, it is. Still, I try to live a fairly normal life, while avoiding trigger situations (easier during the warm months outside).
However, contact with most of my "friends" is infrequent, as it's too much trouble to accommodate : for example, if I have to change seats in the theater, restaurant or musical event, (closed in spaces) which I like to attend.
I would love to find a new friend(s), who shares my malady or leads an unscented lifestyle for other reasons; someone with common interests, to take evening walks with (I live in Sebastopol), possibly go to movies, restaurants and even travel (Monterey, Mendo, etc), watch movies at home (guests at home have not been possible for a while); someone who understands and does not think it is "all in my head" or yells at me, or thinks I'm just a complainer.
While it can be a daily challenge, I don't want it to be the only thing that defines me.
I enjoy a quiet, natural, peaceful lifestyle, love gardening, blues and jazz, NPR, ethnic food and music, art and cats.
