A not too complimentary insight regarding Facebook

Thad, I'm so sorry about your son. We live in schizophrenic times, that seem to reflect the Dark Ages and the New Age, depending on where we are in the moment. I hope that your son has good legal representation.

I read the link your provided, and was horrified to learn that accessing Facebook (directly or by family/friends) is punished on equal par with MURDER, RAPE, RIOTING, ESCAPE AND HOSTAGE TAKING. Some prisoners spend years in solitary confinement for this "offense".
