I just signed the petition, "CAL FIRE - Forest Practice Program Manager: Help protect the precious floodplain of the Gualala River from two terrible logging plans.
I think this is important. Will you sign it too?

It appears that several issues, including endangered species, erosion, and the possible siltation of the Gualala River have not been adequately addressed in these two large THPs in the northwestern part of Sonoma County and southern Mendocino County.
Signing the petition only takes a minute, but I feel you should read the preface to it. As many of you know, the Department of Forestry (aka Cal Fire and CDF) often does not act in the best interest of the environment.
CDF is beholden to the timber industry due to the Board of Forestry almost always having a majority of its board representing timber interests and not the general public.
