How many people "Follow" you on FaceBook?


I refuse to use Facebook, but presently I am trying to make friends
outside of Facebook, while applying the same principles.


Every day I go down the street and tell passers-by what I have
eaten, how I feel, what I have done the night before and what I will
do next. I show them pictures of my wife, kids, grand-kids, my
ani! mals, my garden, my meals and me resting on my deck. I listen to
their conversations and tell them I love them.


And it works: I already have three people following me:
Two police officers and a psychiatrist.

I resisted Facebook for a long time, but then I realized I didn't
have to do it like others.

I use it to network and share important information. I never share
what I'm doing, or where I'm going. Personally, I don't think it's very
smart or safe, and it shows how easily we're led to believe that
people really "care" about our day to day activities. Sharing
information about our personal activities can be inviting trouble
from predators, or those who would like to stalk us. It's happened,
but many don't think it will happen to them......until it does.

It's the most potent networking site we have, but it can easily become
an addiction and time waster.

I know people who need to find jobs, but instead of using their time
constructively, they play games, and invite me to play, too. UGH!

More evidence of "herd" mentality, which differs "herd immunity".

I liberated myself from Facebook by permanently deleting my account!

It is possible; you can do it; you can kick the habit. There is life after Facebook.

I'm thinking about starting a Post Facebook Support Group.

So, to answer the question: I have ZERO followers on Facebook and I couldn't be more proud of myself.
