Thanks for posting this!
Let's have SONOMA BE THE SECOND COUNTY TO STOP DOING BUSINESS WITH FELONIOUS BANKS.
At the very next Board of Supervisors meeting - let's show up to say: we, the PEOPLE, want our county to use credit unions and local banks. I'll post date, time and place.
With resolve, Jude

Hello Waccos! Santa Cruz Supervisor, Ryan Coonerty, has generously offered to talk with our Sonoma County officials regarding divesting from the Big Five Wall street banks. In fact, he is reaching out, himself, to progressive communities to take up the cause and fuel this historic movement.

We have approached Sonoma County Board members with a request that they at least hear what Ryan Coonerty has to offer them, and have met with resistance, specifically, to allow the topic of conversation with Ryan to become an approved item for a Board meeting. (We need a majority of supervisors to agree on even hearing a topic at a meeting!) I have contacted Ryan Coonerty to ask him to contact them directly and await his response.

If you are keeping track of this movement, you know that it is gaining momentum, and other communities nationwide, fortified by Santa Cruz's courage and commitment, are starting to follow suit.

Here is what you can do to be part of this movement: Email your county supervisors and ask them to contact Ryan Coonerty to get information on how this was accomplished in Santa Cruz.
