Symptoms from concussions can be quite disconcerting. Those symptoms may manifest as physical, behavioral and/or emotional. About 10% of patients who sustain a concussion will show post-concussive syndromes that linger past the normal recovery time of 3 months.

Some of the symptoms of concussion are the following:
- difficulty concentrating and completing tasks
- dizziness and lightheadedness
- fatigue
- headache
- noise sensitivity
- poor cognitive performance
- sleep disturbance
- visual symptoms such as light sensitivity and double or blurred vision

Osteopathy is a reliable and useful tool that may help clear the densities (inflammation/edema/micro-neurovascular adhesions) that settle in the brain after a mild to moderate concussion and reduce the time it takes to find resolution from the symptoms being suffered.

A post-concussion treatment package is now being offered in Santa Rosa. The treatment involves osteopathic assessment and treatment following the endocranial spasm treatment methodology developed by Philippe Druelle DO.
