Dentist Who Takes DeltaCare USA?

I am about to join a plan called DeltaCare USA. Only a limited number of dentists in this area seem to take this, none of whom I know or have heard of and none in west county. Please let me know if you have a dentist who takes this who you can recommend.

:checkup:I've gone to SmileCare. What I read about them, and what turned out to be true, is that they often insist they do root planing before they do any other work. The after-insurance co-pay price for that is significantly less than other dentists's price without insurance, but it is still rather expensive. It can be a worthwhile procedure if you need it, but it's hard to say if you really need it or they are overly aggressive in telling you that you do.

Otherwise the dentist (female) and hygienists seemed professional and capable and otherwise the practice seemed fine. I have had some trouble getting through to them on the phone at times, but other times they picked up right away. I needed to cancel and appt at the last minute due to car trouble, and then didn't have any problem with that.

I have been to Dr. Rostami. Despite the fact that I requested one of the other dentists on this list (Dr. Fan, based on positive Yelp notes, and after checking to be sure they accepted new patients), Medicare referred me to him. I was less than impressed. I had the feeling that he was determined to replace a crown, even though I saw no evidence of damage to it. I also was very put off by the perfumey-antiseptic smell that permeated the whole office. The caveat here is that I loved my dentist in Berkeley so it might be hard for anyone to compare to his excellent service.
