Hello,
Would appreciate being informed if anyone has found a wired modem that is PTM enabled and works with sonic's new fusion service for sebastopol area? They said this area requires VDSL2 and PTM, but maybe ADSL2 modem would work fine.

Thanks much.

I think you might have to get an OK from sonic.net as to whether any of these would work (the "profile" used may be significant):

ZyXel P-871M

Zhone 6712-W1

Netsys NV-600A

Versa VX-VEB165

I think they're all wireless, but I didn't spend too much time searching, so you should confirm. You could perhaps copy the specifications and email them in to sonic and let them see which, if any, are compatible with their equipment.

If you're successful, please post the winner(s).

Thanks, Chris! Here's what I've found:

ZyXel P-871M - appears to be a specialized device for connecting between LANs in separated office complexes (it's called a "point-to-point" modem). Price on Amazon is around $390.

Zhone 6712-W1 - looks interesting - doesn't appear to be wireless. Data sheet doesn't say anything about PTM, but that may not mean anything. It's labeled a VDSL2/ADSL2+ 4-Port Gateway and is available from Staples for around $75.

Netsys NV-600A - Also called a point-to-point modem/router. Seems to be only available from Netsys for around $190.

Versa VX-VEB165 - Appears to be non-wireless, called a "triple-play" modem, which I presume means TV/phone/internet. Seems to be only available from Versatek.com for $95.
