Palm Drive Hospital Board Votes Unanimously for Management Agreement to Reopen

At an overfilled meeting at Palm Drive Hospital (soon to be renamed the Sonoma West Medical Center), the District Board voted unanimously to accept the management agreement under which the new entity will reopen our hospital, on April 27. Wow! :thumbsup:

The vote was 4 to 0 in favor, with Dr. Richard Power needing to recuse himself due to his former occupational involvement with the hospital.

It felt like a historic moment. An overwhelming majority of the public speakers, myself included, spoke in support of the agreement, and the spirit of good will negotiations that took place to make this important understanding a reality.

And a HUGE Thank you to all those who gave such valiant efforts to start the campaign to Open Our Hospital, endure the naysayers and sceptics, put together a "wonderful" plan, and bring it ! You know who you are and you've shown us who you are! We are fortunate to have such community leaders giving so much of their time and talents.
