Tex and Tuff are 10 and 8 year old, father and son, neutered Australian Cattle Dogs. Tex is deaf, and they have been together since Tex’s birth, so they should remain together.

They have both been indoor and outdoor dogs, but currently they are only outdoors dogs. They are very friendly, and all they want to do is play ball.

Tex has a tail, and Tuff has a stub for a tail, and both are current on their shots.

Their owners had been renting a house that is now being sold, and they left the dogs behind, so Tex and Tuff must be removed immediately or they will be moved to a shelter, Peninsula Humane Society, Monday, August 21st.

They are wonderful looking! What's their status please? Are their owners just vanished and abandoned them? Has anyone offered to even foster them?

WE MUST GET THESE WONDERFUL, FRIENDLY, PLAYFUL DOGS TO AT LEAST A TEMPORARY FOSTER HOME NO LATER THAN TUESDAY, THE 22ND OF AUGUST.

NBCRP has found someone who will foster these dogs but needs a couple of weeks to recover from surgery before she can handle their care.

The son of the owner, who is an elderly woman now in convalescent hospital and unable to return home, is willing to pick the animals up and deliver them to a safe and loving temporary foster home until longer term foster or permanent home can be found. He is also willing to contribute to their care......

ISN'T THERE SOMEONE OUT HERE THAT IS ABLE AND WILLING TO DO THIS FOR THE VERY GOOD CATTLE DOGS. THEY WILL BRING YOU MUCH JOY. Once Dorothy is recovered from her surgery, she and her husband will take them to their home and care for them until a permanent and loving home can be found for them.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN. The more who hear about these precious dogs' plight, the more chance they have at being rescued.

If they go to a shelter they will in all probability be euthanized since so few people want either an older dog or a disabled one.
