I read about this in NYTimes today; very interesting. Loved Star Trek for the inspiration it gave us. R.I.P.

As a long-time dedicated Trekker, I am sorry to hear about Leonard Nimoy's passing. This TV and film series was ahead of its time in many ways by giving key roles to people of color, having a woman play the role of a captain, introducing the Borg (part organic and part machine), which is unfortunately where we are today with our machine-dominated world with all its high tech addicts. Nimoy's passing is a good time to see some of these shows again.
