If you have a pet, I encourage you to subscribe to www.petfoodrecall.org (https://www.petfoodrecall.org)

There's some new recalls for 2015, which you may not even know about. Please don't wait until it's too late....inform yourself, for the love of your pet.

When I try to look at cat food recalls for 2015, I am asked for a password and username. Odd.

Thanks for posting this Shandi. I don't know why anyone gives their pet Iams; it gets recalled so often.

Thank you for your response. When you go to the website, click on "recall notification". Then you can put your email in so you get notified. It's kind of a strange layout for a website. I think they need to make it more user friendly.

Shandi, thanks for suggesting that people subscribe to a site providing pet food recall information.

Unfortunately the site you recommended requires a subscription (free) and was flagged with a warning by my security program as an insecure site.
There is another site www.dogfoodadvisor.com (https://www.dogfoodadvisor.com) that also requires a free subscription, but is considered secure.

Any site where you 'subscribe" has access to your email, and therefore you can be hacked, so keep this in mind..

One site that does not require a subscription is the FDA site for pet food recalls. Google pet food recalls and it will come right up. What was helpful at this site was they list the specifics, such as "32 bags from warehouse in Mississippi suspected as contaminated." And so forth.

Thanks again,
Gypsey

Thanks for letting me know. I really like getting the current notices in my email. I wonder if the www.dogfoodadvisor.com (https://www.dogfoodadvisor.com) also has info on cat food.
