Hello Sonoma County Waccos and beyond (tell friends and all) -

Sonoma County is on the BRINK of putting fluoride in the municipal water supply.

Debrief of last friday's 2pm meeting on fluoridation with Sup. Efren Carrillo:
Marlene Lilly, Dr. Richard Shames, Laura Gaeta Wilson, DDS, Gail Hartman, Jim Jorisson and I met with Efren.

We presented many many aspects about fluoride's toxicity, corrosion of city pipe systems, detriment to African and Latino populations, backed by hundreds of studies by Harvard Med. School, World Health Organization, etc.
Meant to be 30 minutes, we actually presented and spoke for an hour.

Dr. Shames, MD gave the Sup. 3 books he authored on the Thyroid, with marked pages in each book referring to fluoridation's effect on the thyroid. The supervisor promised to read those pages and the other material we left him

At the end, Efren said he was 'keeping his mind open' and listening as well to the 'other side' to make up his mind.
So far, the Supervisors are largely uneducated, unconvinced.

These 5 people are poised to determine whether the plants, animals and people - infants, children, adults, elder, kidney patients, diabetics, post-menopausal women and other populations - will be forced to drink and bathe in fluoride.

THIS VOTE WILL COME WITHIN WEEKS.

Educate yourself if you are not TOTALLY CLEAR about this issue, or you will be drinking and bathing in it unavoidably.

WATER IS LIFE. fluoridation is part of the madness of our age.

Go back 50 years and our county supervisors were unanimously approving PG&E's plans for a nuclear power plant at Bodega Head. Only a grassroots citizens movement was able to stop them. Perhaps there are parallels with this issue, in which the decision makers accept the "establishedment' wisdom and won't listen.

I'd rather meet with him to suggest they fix some roads such as Green Valley Road near Sullivan road. 3 days with a back hoe and a few 18 inch culverts would go a long way towards solving the flooding problem. That's what I would want him to pay attention to.
