I'm very happy about the opening of SWMC. It's time to renew or change my health plan and I'm wondering if anyone knows which insurance plans are likely to be accepted for non life threatening events.

Any insurance but Sutter and Kaiser works.
Western Health Advantage appears quite affordable and available under covered California I believe.

It would be interesting to find out for sure what contracts SWMC has with insurance companies, but good luck getting that information until you've been shuffled off to a Santa rosa hospital.

Is this what happened to you--shuffled off to a SR hospital? As far as I know, it's really simple to find out what insurance is accepted--just ask them.
