Wannabe Cop<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
So you wanna be a cop, well…..(Playing God)<o:p></o:p>
That aint no fun.<o:p></o:p>
Making split second, life and death decisions at the point of a gun.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
You say you wanna be a cop, then let me tell you true,<o:p></o:p>
Being a cop (target) today is not an easy thing to do.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Their lives are magnified on a pinnacle by multiple political flakes<o:p></o:p>
Until that thin fragile needle gets too heavy and snaps and breaks.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
So you wanna be a cop, let me tell you about these boys in blue,<o:p></o:p>
It’s the pathetic color of their life from ignorant-angry idiots like me and you.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
Cops have the highest rate of Divorce and Suicide for any given career,<o:p></o:p>
“To Protect and Serve” becomes a jaded cliché of their own psychological tears.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
And you wanna be a cop in this bad domestic equation,<o:p></o:p>
When your own wife and children all defy you in their own lawless situations.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
So you wanna be a cop and you will be put through the test,<o:p></o:p>
As every elected leader will cause many decades of civil unrest.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
So you wanna be a cop enforcing the good laws of this land,<o:p></o:p>
While supremist and ghetto fights an old xenophobic wound hand to hand.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
And you wanna be a cop when that insane woman goes ballistic on blue,<o:p></o:p>
As you hold your breath and gun contemplating just what next is the right thing to do.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
And you wanna be a cop hero to save a life or two,<o:p></o:p>
But this honor somehow, some day will all backfire on you.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
And you wanna be a cop as you load those heavy lead bullets into your service gun,<o:p></o:p>
As you gaze outside at the trees each day but inside you can only feel sad and numb.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
And you wanna be a cop for others cop justified suicide,<o:p></o:p>
As you wish there was another kind of emotional shield here to help you hide.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
And you wanna be a cop and this one is really hard, is:<o:p></o:p>
How to shoot that 12 year old kid with a broken-hearted vengeance and a gun <o:p></o:p>
inside the elementary school yard.<o:p></o:p>

But, think about this and think very long and hard,<o:p></o:p>
Who you gonna call when there is some lunatic stalking you inside your yard?<o:p></o:p>

So you wanna be a cop, go ahead, make my day,<o:p></o:p>
Just a little Thank You or a smile >for them< <o:p></o:p>
from decent folk can go a very-very long way.;o)<o:p></o:p>
