So, here’s what we know:
After being outspent 3-to-1, we’re now trailing by just 812 votes in our fight to require GMO labeling in Oregon
The margin is so close (less than one tenth of one percent!) that election officials are conducting a recount starting the day after TOMORROW.
Monsanto is TERRIFIED that we’re still fighting and have a chance to win, so they and their big agrochemical allies are going to do everything they can to get Yes votes thrown out during the recount – and we HAVE to be there to stop them.
We have a plan to deploy our Emergency Recount Response Team to every corner of the state starting on Tuesday – but right now we don’t have the resources to put that plan into action.
