Okay, so Barry and I discussed the idea of putting together a writing group, as well as a book club, so allow me, a moment of your time, to troll for support.
Worse even than book clubs, I feel writing groups tend to be bogged down by the much-talked-about, and often-hated, Salinger-esque tear-downers, which is, quite frankly, disappointing.
Myself, I've alwas imagined a writing group should operate like my experiences at USC film school: Rewarding, constructive, familial, and fun.
So writers, whether your mantra be write every day, or dabble, dabble, dabble, perhaps we can unite, say, twice a month, to share our work, encourage each other, and share a bottle of wine? What do we say, writers of Wacco? Shall we group?
