Okay, so Barry and I discussed the idea of putting together a writing group, as well as a book club, so allow me, a moment of your time, to troll for support.

Worse even than book clubs, I feel writing groups tend to be bogged down by the much-talked-about, and often-hated, Salinger-esque tear-downers, which is, quite frankly, disappointing.

Myself, I've alwas imagined a writing group should operate like my experiences at USC film school: Rewarding, constructive, familial, and fun.

So writers, whether your mantra be write every day, or dabble, dabble, dabble, perhaps we can unite, say, twice a month, to share our work, encourage each other, and share a bottle of wine? What do we say, writers of Wacco? Shall we group?

I'm in. Can host once per month or less often (have separate space from house, nice open carpeted and heated if need be!)

If there is interest, I'd be happy to create a Prose & Poetry category for all things literary...
