(Your Own) Footprints In The Sand

One night I had a dream that I was walking along the beach with the Divine.

As we walked together, many events from my life began to flash before my eyes across the clouded sky.

In each scene I noticed that there were two sets of footprints in the sand.

When the last scene of my life was revealed to me I had noticed that there was only

one set of footprints in the sand.

This bothered me for I had realized that this was the lowest, saddest and most

difficult time of my life. So I questioned the Gods and Goddesses.

I said, “Ancestors, didn’t you promise me that if I held on to You

that You would walk with me all the way?"

“Where were You when I needed You the most?”

And the Great Spirit replied, “My precious child, WE love you and promised you that

WE would never ever leave you. But, Real Trust, True Integrity, and True Love

must be tested in order for them to be realized.”

They said to me, “The road to Paradise is not an easy path to walk

and it is full of obstacles and trials. It is a mixture of both bitter and sweet experiences

and many sufferings and sacrifices must occur

before an Abundance of Karmic Inheritance can be reaped by

any of OUR Earthly Human Angels.”

“My Angel, it was "your own footprints in the sand"

that marked your path right into OUR Hearts today.”

"When you saw only one set of footprints in the sand, they were Yours.

It was then, when We watched your Prodigal Soul choose this

Great Ancestral Spiritual Reconciliation out of your own free will

to carry US in YOUR Heart.”

I had awakened that morning a brand new person.
