I've tried the new Cafe de Croissants, and found it is unnecessary. Also, I enjoy The Barlow and Sub Zero but decided to stay faithful to Honeymoon Yoghurt and Screaming Mimi's.
Maybe I'm afraid of change, but more so, I'm afraid of our little local businesses getting pushed out.

Yes, and I still go to Coffee Catz rather than the big guy across the road.

And I prefer Hard Core. Great coffee (organic from WA state), the ambiance, and great outside seating with lots of opportunity to connect with the West county folk.

I could be mistaken, but I believe that the two are related. Grateful Bagel does the bagels for both and Cafe de Crossants does the croissants for both - at least that's how it was a few years back. It's possible that it's changed. On the bright side, CdC has a stove so if you get a breakfast sandwich with eggs they are NOT microwaved. That's a huge plus in my book.
I tried Sub Zero and they had nothing on Screaming Mimi's!

Grateful bagel is the best. I drive from west santa rosa to Sebastopol weekly just for their pizza bagel. Better than any here in santa rosa. Grateful bagels gets their croissants from Costeaux in Healdsburg, and is not associated with the new shop.
