** Best Cell Reception?

Hi - Can you please offer your thoughts about best provider for cell reception?

Simply stated, Verizon has the widest network with the largest reception area in Northern California.
I have Virgin Mobile, and once I get more than 5 miles west of Sebastopol, have NO reception the rest of the way to work or until I get within 5 miles of home. Not a big concern for me, but for those who obviously can't live without their leash, they have to constantly have cellular service. Where I work, there is supposedly no cell service, hence the WiFi internet service we offer to our guests. Tonight I had a Verizon customer claim his phone had service at my front desk.

YMMV depending on model of phone.
