The Tour d'Organics is a bicycle ride that starts in Sebastopol and features local, organic farms in the area. Last year, we had almost 700 people come out for the ride, and we're hoping for an even bigger turn out this year.
Get Your Organization Involved
We're looking for nonprofit organizations and businesses to volunteer by hosting a rest stop at a local farm on the route. This is a great way to:
Promote your organization to hundreds of participants
Share locally grown produce with hungry cyclists
Be a part of a local, “green” community event
Have fun!
Depending on the rest stop, you'll need 2-4 volunteers. All the food and equipment necessary to run rest stop are supplied. Volunteer T-shirts and meals are also provided. At least one member of the organization's team will need to attend a training session on August 19th at 5:30pm.
Email Bradley Saul at [email protected] or call 707-360-8511 for more information.
Volunteer Yourself
We rely on volunteers and local organizations to make this a successful event. There are many ways you can get involved.
Biofuel SAG Vehicles
Cycling events have support vehicles which travel the course to ensure the safety of riders and that everything is going along fine. In our effort to make this a sustainable event, we're looking for people with biofuel vehicles who would be willing to drive as a SAG vehicle (or lend us the car for the day).
Other opportunities:
Registration/Check-in
Mechanics
Cooks
Servers
All volunteers get meals and a 100% organic event T-shirt.
