25760Garden HELP! I am a 78 year old woman who started creating an amazing garden 23 years ago when I moved here. Over the years, friends and occasionally professional gardeners, have helped me with the heaviest work, but mostly I worked alone. It has been my spiritual practice, passion and great joy.
Now, shoulder surgery and simple aging have made me realize that I cannot continue doing this by myself. Unfortunately, I cannot afford the prices charged by most commercial gardeners, and as my property is challenging and unusual, I need someone who is as committed to plants as I am, and who can understand my vision.
I need a strong young man or woman 3 - 4 hours a week. I can pay $15.00 an hour. I will not hire anyone who has not first come to see the garden and talk with me about the practices I use here. Some of the perks working for me are getting to take home extra plants from time to time, or some of the veggie harvests, or even learning from my many past mistakes from over 50 years of gardening!
