Following the lead of its neighbor across the border, Mexico and its recent ban on GMOs (https://naturalsociety.com/mexico-bans-growing-gmo-corn/), L.A. is now considering a city-wide ban (https://rt.com/usa/los-angeles-gmo-ban-643/) to curb the growth and proliferation of GMO seeds (https://naturalsociety.com/los-angeles-largest-gmo-free-zone-usa/) within its borders.

What would it take for us to do this in Sonoma County?

there are 12 thousand plus people on this bb. if everyone were to get a friend or two, and get organized, we'd be able to get it passed. lots of us showing up at the supervisors meeting, having met with each of them beforehand, with compelling constituent numbers. votes are brought in by cash for media - or just the numbers of people who are organized, networked, can bring people together, and out.
we didn't get GE Free, nor Labeling GMO's, and Washington seems to have just blown that, too. but it ain't over. we're still here, and if YOU're ready, there's more of us.
onwards, jude
