On Saturday, October 12, 1:30pm on the Joe Rodota Trail between Ross Station Rd., and downtown Forestville, my small dog was attacked by two large German Shepard-type dogs (one black; other gray/brown) off leash. She was severely injured. Please help me find these dogs. Barbara, 326-6874. Thanks for any assistance.

Wow, in the middle of the day! I wonder if these are the same dogs that attacked a young deer at our place about 6 weeks ago? We're on the South side of Sebastopol. I called animal control, expressing concern over feral dogs, but never got a call back. Have you called animal control?

I fear that it is possible we have 2 dogs that have gone feral and are hunting. It would be good to start tracking their movements, if possible.

The dogs I saw were large, with a classic German Shephard silhouette, but it was too dark to see their coloring. They ran silently and jumped a 5 ft fence with ease when my husband went out with a flashlight to chase 'em off the deer. She survived but had some bite marks on her haunch.

Since then I have heard from a neighbor that she had two dogs kill and mangle a fawn in her front yard this Spring.

Hi Barbara. I'm soooo sorry about your little dog. I wanted to let you know about a great fundraising site if you need to get money for your doggies medical. Www.gofundme.com. Many people there are happy to donate money to help injured animals. I would be happy to help you with an ad if you need and if you need money to help with the medical maybe people on Wacco could donate money. I would be very happy to help in any way I can. Please let me know. I am a huge animal lover and my dog is my son

Good luck. Janise
