Adopt BRAVE BEAR – a big gorgeous black & gray kitten!

Handsome black BEAR is sooooo sweet, and what a lover! At five and a half months old, Bear is a BIG boy already (about five pounds), and probably going to be a large cat. Bear is not actually solid black. His long, sleek outer coat is black, but his "ruff" and undercoat (and his curly-haired belly) are charcoal gray. His fine-boned face has an almost wolf-like quality (we suspect him of having Maine Coon Cat ancestry). All this makes him very handsome indeed!

Bear has a HUGE purr that fills the room (which sounds musical at times!) and the sweetest, most gentle personality. Bear loves to be cuddle on your lap and be petted, and also loves to play. (He’s especially good at aluminum-foil ball hockey!) He gets along great with other cats, and deals well with small children. However, he is quite self-sufficient, and would probably do fine as an “only” cat as long as he gets lots of lovin’ from his humans when they’re home.

Hear Bear’s BIG purr for yourself right now! Click here for the video! (Bear is the kitten on screen right. This video was taken several weeks ago. His purr is even louder now!)

Bear was neutered last week, and received a rabies shot at the same time. (The nice people at the Humane Society where they did the neutering said that Bear purred up a storm for them!) However, he still needs all of his other immunizations, plus he will need ongoing care, like any pet . We are asking for a $40 re-homing fee, but it’s really a bargain … because we don’t keep that re-homing fee! We will rebate it to you by sending the $40 that you give us directly to your veterinarian or the vet clinic of your choice, to be used for shots, etc. for Bear. This is a roundabout way of doing things, but we have learned that (a) people don’t value what they don’t pay for, and (b) anyone with bad intentions toward a kitten is not willing to give us information about who their vet is. So doing it this way keeps everyone honest. And you get the benefit: a fabulously sweet and beautiful kitty boy for FREE!

Bear is available ONLY as an indoor-only cat. The Humane Society of the United States says that indoor-only cats live an average of 12 years, while outdoor or indoor-outdoor cats live an average of only three years. We are committed to placing Bear and his fellow kittens with indoor-only homes.

We also have three other big kittens, all with different but terrific personalities, who are looking for their new mommy, daddy, or family! We would be delighted to set you up with TWO new kittens! (Since nothing is more fun than a kitten except two kittens! And two kittens are great at keeping each other entertained while you're out of the house.) Come over and meet Bear and Captain Amerikitten and Lotus and Mowgli! They really are all wonderful! When we walk into our office where they’re living right now, a huge PURR goes up around the room as they ALL start purring! Believe me, these are some of the best kittens we've ever raised! Contact us today for the pick of the litter!

P.S. Regarding the photos: I have found that photographing a mostly-black cat and getting a good result is hard!! LOL! Therefore, most of the photos here are from when Bear was younger, but I am posting them because they show his beautiful coloration (black AND gray) the best. The most recent photo (just a couple of days ago) is the one of him in the hammock with his littermate Mowgli (the solid gray tomkitten). Thanks!
