    TV & Recycling Pick Up - who's running it?

    Hi folks,
    We got a flyer at our house that says:

    **BAY AREA **CLEAN UP**
    Free TV & PC Recycling Pick Up
    Tuesday June 26

    It lists all kinds of equipment that you can put out to be recycled. However it does not list the organization behind it. There is only a phone number and an individual's name.

    I'm all for recycling and such, but some businesses process e-waste purely for profit. They do not process e-waste in a safe way either for its workers or in ways that are environmentally safe, or, they sell e-waste to companies and countries (like China) that     do not process e-waste in a safe way either for its workers or in ways that are environmentally safe. Anyone know anything about this organization? It does not seem to be affiliated with either the city or county waste disposal.

    Does the city and/or county dispose of e-waste in a responsible manner? Does anybody know? I would think so, but I don't know for sure.
