Hello,
I was traveling during all of 2010 and now that I'm back again word has it that not so smart meters are about to be installed in Fairfax. I know Sebastopol faced the threat, and many of you are rascally rebels who would not take this laying down, just like we are. I'd love to be updated as to what happened there and elsewhere in Sonoma county so we can learn from your trials and errors.
I read about 10 posts here and even though Marin has a moratorium on smart meters, the city of Novato got them around the beginning of 2011. What's up with that?
What worked? What didn't? And how many folks in which towns are strapped with them now?
If you have a smart meter and you don't want one you can do something about by downloading and submitting this file:

If you don't have a smart meter yet and you don't want one you can do something about it by downloading and submitting this file https://refusesmartmeter.com/ Small%20Steps% 20To%20Avoid% 20Big%20Injuries
as well as putting a sign or sticker on your meter that says "Attention: Do Not Install Smart Meter" just google smart meter sticker or get some from https://refusesmartmeter.com
Thank you Sasu for posting the PG&E Smart Meter Opt out Letter
The CPU said they weren't many complaints so let them hear from you! It really only takes a small group of committed people to overthrow a big monopoly with a bad idea.
