Root canal redo or tooth extraction?

My dentist has recommended that I have a 14 year old root canal redone because there is infection at the roots. This tooth sits on the digestion meridian and digestive challenges have been present for at least that long and possibly even back to the beginning of this tooth breaking down. I am considering having the tooth extracted and replaced with a bridge or implant instead.

I have been researching root canals and have found information about chronic illness being linked to root canals that become infected (Root Canal Coverup by Dr George Meinig and holistic practitioners recommending root canal extraction).

I'm interested in hearing from the wacco community, opinions based on experience! Both of root canals that have been redone and/or root canals that have been extracted and how that worked out for you.

    Thanks for your input!

Re: Root canal redo or tooth extraction?

I had a root canal redone by a GREAT doctor in Santa Rosa.
    Philip Waterman on Montgomery drive.

He is an endo-dontist. This is his specialty. He is very enthusiastic,
did the work so fast I couldn't believe it, and did a great job.

Don't pull the tooth - have it redone. Mine is fine now.
I won't have my dentist do root canals anymore - use the specialist on this - its worth it.

Hi yes my dentist says that root canals are not sustainable and has a few options one is to clean out the sealed in rotting jaw and let it heal another to remove the dead rotting tooth at the same time and this dentist is worth the trip to tijuana www.villafanabiologicaldentistry.com
