    Chow Chow Standard Poodle Mix?

Does anyone know if there are any puppies from these breeds? I had a Chow mix dog, who was wonderful. I think this mix would mellow the Chow, be smart and not shed. Thanks!

Sorry as I realize you posted this quite some time ago. I found this posting on a search of poodles / chows so thought I'd go ahead and respond. I have a 2 yr old whose father was a red chow and her Mom was a white Standard Poodle. She is without doubt one of the best dogs I've ever had or seen. She's smart... goofy.. and a total love bug. In fact, I think if anyone told her that she was part chow it would realy hurt her feelings! Before Lulu, I had a Chow / Cocker Spaniel mix and she was also an incredible dog. She was even a little naturally 'smarter" than my Lulu is - or else just more intuned to the human spirit maybe. lulu needs training - my Sadie never needed training and naturally grapsed on to things and was protective of anything hers.

Good luck and let me know if you find a mix - I'd love to have another!

Thanks for continuing to share the message! All of mine are rescues... knowing the breed / parents doesnt' always = breeder. My Lulu was tossed aside because she was an "accident" with the Chow and poodle... I did rescue work for years and couldn't agree more. In fact, I have 4 additional rescues in my home now as well - one of which is a full Golden that was set to be euthanized b/c his owners coudldn't be bothered to buy heart worm preventative - and now he's spoiled rotten and healthy. Have a great day and thanks again - rescues are defintiely the way to go!

    Thanks for the clarification.
As for looking for just the 'right' combo... please read on.
For starters here are some rescues in the area that offer a multitude of choices for purebred dogs and mixes. Note than some of the purebred adoption venues also offer mixed breed of purebred and other. Also an online search will offer multiple options.
Here are some venues that offer lists of dogs in need:
