    Supporting Local Businesses

These are some local businesses I want to see being supported through the current, and upcoming 'hard times'...So, they can 'hang in there'...

I'm not in West County...So, I'm hoping posting these will inspire anyone who lives more Easterly, and who maybe hasn't heard about them to check 'em out and spread the word...

    My favorite gifty places...

Positively Fourth Street - 628 4th St. Santa Rosa - Randy the owner is a very cool, interesting, knowledgable guy...I love him...and his store too...He supports all kinds of local artisans around the U.S. of A...

Kindred Spirits/Fair Trade - 605 4th St. - Lot's of little handcrafted goodies from around the world...

The Birds Nest Antiques - 740 Village Ct. Montgomery Village...Next to Village Art Supply...Cool little store, stuffed with lot's of cool little antiquey stuff...

    Restaurant...

Abyssinia - 913 4th St. Santa Rosa (near Brookwood) - A fairly new Ethiopian/Eritrean restaurant. I've had Ethiopian food before...Never thought I'd crave it, but I do now!...Luv their sour 'bread'!...They do have a variety of vegetarian dishes...And their prices are extremely reasonable!...

    Theatre:

The Imaginists - 461 Sebastopol Ave. (South of Julliard Park, just east of A st. in Santa Rosa) A wonderful new community theatre, with very imaginitive, creative ideas...

    Re: Supporting Local Businesses

Shopping locally is important so that the money continues to circulate in the local community.

Please consider shopping really locally, that is, right here on WaccoBB.net!

There are many fine offerings of products and services here, and if you give someone a gift certificate for a service (say a Massage/Healing or a class) then you won't be creating more "stuff" along with its attending carbon and disposal issues.

Many service providers are offering gift certificates now, and I'm sure any of service providers would be happy to arrange one for you.

There are several excellent gift opportunities among our current sponsors.
