Hi Folks,
Some of you have contacted me after seeing my name in the paper due to my involvement in the now famed Golden Gate Bridge crash the other day. I wanted to let you know that I am OK with a little whiplash (going to the health faire for some massage today) and some post traumatic stress, but I'm doing fine and very happy to be alive. I cannot discuss the details of the accident, but suffice it to say it was scary.
I very much support a speeded up process for building the planned barrier on the Golden Gate Bridge to stop the head-on collisions. The barrier would have prevented all of us in the Southbound lanes from being hit by those Northbound travelers. When my insurance case is settled, I will surely be a loud advocate for speeding up the process to get the barrier. 37 years of discussion is more than enough.
:littleredcorvette: Meanwhile, I urge all users of the GG Bridge to drive carefully and slowly over the bridge. I was driving well under the speed limit in the slow lane and this defensive driving may well have saved my life. Please avoid lane changes on the bridge if you can, and avoid those middle lanes. That bridge is a dangerous place to drive.
Thanks again for your support.
Love
Julia
