This is a very informative research article on why touching is essential to our well-being and that of our family, friends....anyone. With no touch policies in schools and the workplace and people glued to their smartphones our well-being is at risk. Self-touch through yoga/pilates and walking does provide certain other benefits by stimulating our receptors.
Good read. More hugs are needed in these stressful times we live in.
