The Sonoma County Registrar of Voters is recruiting polling place workers across the county for the June 5, 2018 Gubernatorial Primary. Workers will set up and close the polling place, locate voter names on rosters, get voter signatures, provide simple instructions to voters, issue ballots, and other duties as needed.
To serve, poll workers must:
• Be a registered voter in California or permanent legal resident of the United States
• Be able to serve on Election Day (Tuesday, June 5) from about 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Poll workers will receive a stipend of $100. Poll workers are needed in all languages, including Cambodian/Khmer, Filipino/Tagalog, Spanish and Vietnamese.
“Working at a polling place on Election Day is an amazing and rewarding experience,” said William F. Rousseau, Sonoma County Registrar of Voters. “Poll workers are on the very front lines of our democracy.”
