VERY IMPORTANT Regarding Animal Rescue in Sonoma County.
I just got off of the phone with the director of Forgotten Felines. This is what you need to know.
1. Please continue to feed the Strays but please call Forgotten Felines at 576-7999 to report ANY animal that you see that you do not recognize. Right now they are gathering INFORMATION about where the animals have migrated to so that they can coordinate trapping efforts. This is their biggest need at the moment. They will tell you when they are trapping near you and when to withdraw food once they have established phone contact with you.
2. In addition to posting to the general public, PLEASE post your lost and found pet postings directly on the following FaceBook pages - These postings will receive immediate attention by the agencies which are most able to help. These agencies are sharing information daily with ALL shelters housing fire affected pets.

3. They need volunteers to hang flyers in all neighborhoods affected by the fires. Please call them if you can do this.
And this made me cry but it's important info about wildlife ...
