2 URGENT Local Actions for Climate!

Hi folks,

This is a historic vote. However there's been a setback:

The staff of the BAAQMD has just added loopholes to Rule 12-16 that will allow tar sands and other heavy crude to be refined in the Bay Area. This will damage health and climate, and goes against the agency’s mandate to protect the public health.

Please attend the June 21 meeting. I'd recommend getting there by 8am before the oil companies bus in their employees to fill the room, and fill up the public comments. Thanks!

350 Bay Area, Sierra Club, Sunflower Alliance (in the east bay) are just a few of the climate activist groups have been working on this vote for FIVE YEARS. We cannot let their work be undone by the oil companies! We cannot let BAAQMD staff create loopholes for tar sands and other heavy crude.
