March 10: Standing Rock Global Day of Action! SPO Partners - Save the Date!

Stand with Standing Rock is calling for a global Day of Action on Friday, March 10!

We along with350Marin and other groups from Sonoma County and Marin will RETURN to SPO Partners and Wells Fargo to protest again!

We chose SPO Partners based on an article written by Will Parrish published in the North Bay Bohemian and Pacific Sun. Unbeknown to us, this article also inspired 350Marin to protest there just 10 days prior to our protest:

"The $5.2 billion investment firm is among the country's leading financial backers of oil and natural gas fracking. Its web of financial connections tie it directly to the country's most controversial infrastructure project—the $3.7 billion, 1,134-mile Dakota Access Pipeline—and even Republican Party presidential candidate Donald Trump's economic policy team."

We are targeting SPO Partners because they are the largest investor in Oasis Petroleum, one of 9 companies that will supply oil to the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL). As law enforcement is waging war on peaceful Standing Rock protesters, we see SPO Partners as guilty of supporting genocide. Wells Fargo is also a key investor in the DAPL. Let's keep the pressure on! NO DAPL! And remember to divest! Defund DAPL!

We're protesting from 1-3pm at SPO Partners in Mill Valley on Friday, March 10, so that some of us can also join the San Francisco protest organized byIdle No More SF Bay from 5pm to 9pm the same day. Are you with us?

Including our protests and 350Marin's protest, that will make three protests within a month at SPO Partners. That ought to make them sit up and take notice. Join us!
