You are invited to Ner Shalom’s first ever Social Justice Cafe on Sunday, March 5 from 2-4pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the history of Jewish resistance. Enjoy song, spoken word and a presentation by Elaine Leeder on the history of Jewish resistance and listen to her personal story of activism that she calls Notes from a Movement Footsoldier.

Join Reb Irwin, and our rich and diverse community. Enjoy the music of our Ner Shalom musicians. Meet our rich and diverse community, and get to know members of our greater Sonoma County family.

There will be brief presentations from local activists talking about what they and /or their organizations are doing:
Susan Kistin will tell us about the Indivisible movement
Shepherd Bliss will speak about sanctuary cities.
Julie Chasen will catch us up on DAPL
Susan Lamont will talk about It Won’t Happen Here

During the break each presenter will have a table with information to share. It will be a good time time to converse, get information and ask questions in a smaller setting.

Also, there will be opportunities to:
Network with your friends and neighbors
Share resources, websites, activist groups, phone apps
Write (free & stamped ) postcards to express your ideas, thoughts, concerns
Meet, greet, schmooze and have a snack with others
